YMCA Camp Santa Maria (Boulder, Colorado)
Camp Santa Maria is looking for Outdoor Education Instructors to work in our Spring Outdoor Education Programs!
Outdoor Education Instructors: Camp Santa Maria provides outdoor environmental education for Colorado schools. Outdoor Education Instructors are responsible for teaching and facilitating the educational experience for hundreds of students each year. The Santa Maria OEE curriculum is experiential in nature and applicable to the schools’ requirements for math, science, history etc. OEE instructors must be creative and comfortable with role playing as a method of teaching. OEE instructors will participate in pre-camp training to familiarize themselves with the OEE curriculum. OEE instructors will also be responsible for planning and facilitating evening programs for our school groups. OEE instructors will live at camp in staff housing and will have their weekends free.
Compensation $1250 plus room and board.
April 16 - May 21
This is a great opportunity for camp staffers who are committed to work at a camp this summer but are available and looking for something to do in April and May!

counselors. The counselors live in cabins with kids
and either lead or help to lead activities during the
day. It would be great (of course) if they have
lifesaving and canoeing certification!

expeditions, living with a cabin of 4-6 campers,
designing creative and diverse in-camp programming
***Male Assistant Counselors/Trip Leaders, age 18 or
over
responsible for: leading 3-5 day wilderness
expeditions, living with a cabin of 4-6 campers,
designing creative and diverse in-camp programming,
and helping out with maintenance aspects of camp
***Head Wrangler, age 21 or over
responsible for: managing our herd of ten horses and
leading campers in horse activities
